Who can take MUET Test & When MUET is held?

You may take the MUET exam if you are a STPM, Matriculation, Foundation level, or Diploma student applying to any local university for a first-degree program. Since most universities require MUET results, make sure you take the test and turn in your certificate at the university office when submitting your application.

A seat at the university you have applied to is largely dependent on your performance on the MUET exam. Your pre-university program marks are unaffected by your MUET scores, though.

The only universities that accept this MUET exam certificate are those in Singapore and Malaysia. You can take the internationally recognized TOEFL or IELTS exams to test for other countries.

Three times a year, in March, July, and November, MUET is administered. The month you want to take the exam is entirely up to you. Registration for the mid-year exams opens in the middle of January or the beginning of February. Early May is when enrollment for the end-of-year program opens, and it concludes in early July.

How to sign up for the MUET
There are two ways to sign up for the MUET test.
1. Pre-university students can sign up at the specific institution you represent. As soon as registration opens, you will receive information on the same.

2. Candidates who are private may register online. It is acceptable for you to register on MPM’s official website.

All the English Proficiency tests have four components so does the MUET exam too. It incorporates Reading, Writing, listening, and speaking skills.

According to candidates and components, the test is divided into a duration of 4 hours altogether to complete the test.
